What You Will Find at Stream Cliff
Stream Cliff is a sixth generation family farm dating to 1821. The grounds are hilly with an 80 ft. cliff along the beautiful Graham Creek. Many of the buildings we use have had a historic use. The building called the Keeping Room, is used as a conference room and classroom. It was built in 1868, by the railroad for a boarding house for the workers during construction of the railroad in about 1870. It was moved from the adjacent field by a team of mules called Pete and Belle in 1904. The Country Store, Cabin and Summer Kitchen shops as well as the barns are original. You will find in Twigs and Sprigs Tearoom a garden mural. It has many flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds and flower fairies. The second room which is called the Garden Room overlooks the plant area with large windows and has a large amount of floral color and is a feast for the eye. Started in 2007, is a farm winery which is located in the old blacksmith shop north of the Keeping Room. It has horses as a rustic theme, plus delicious wines for tasting and sale. As you walk through the gardens, you will find the walled quilt shaped Grandmother's Fan Garden, the Crucifix with a heart in a square, Blue Bird Arbor Trail, Log Cabin, Bridal, Fairy and Dresden Plate Gardens. There is a Sanctuary Garden (an outdoor Church), a Butterfly Garden as well as five water features. We have been featured in quite a number of national magazines and publications and because of this we have visitors come from across the country. We are especially grateful to you, our customers, for supporting our family Farm business and we have made many wonderful friends over the years. If you would like to receive our Farm News by mail or e-mail, please let us know. We do not share or sell your addresses to anyone as we honor your privacy. We believe Stream Cliff is a blend of past and present intertwined in a colonial farmstead atmosphere. It is our sincere hope that you will feel blessed with the beauty that nature provides. |
