Mum Festival, August 27th
St. Fiacre Day (Patron St. of the Garden)
When autumn is approaching it is time that the wonderful mums we've grown start to bloom. This is a lovely time to come to the farm for a day to celebrate the time of harvest. The date this year is Sat. Aug. 27. At our Mum Festival we have the Keeping Room and surrounding area filled with craft booths and some antiques. There is no charge to attend or exhibit (see Exhibiting at Stream Cliff). Also free presentations will be given under the canopy area. At 10:30 Greg Manning, horticulturist, will lecture on "Landscape Design with Perennials." At 1:30 Betty Manning will present herbal cheese and wine pairings with samples and will speak on "Growing Topiaries."
Food will be available at Twigs & Sprigs Tearoom. If you are bringing a large group (8 or more) for lunch, please call for reservations. Plan to have a day of relaxation and joy.
