Stream Cliff's Annual Garden Festival, June 4A Day to Celebrate GardeningStream Cliff's Annual Garden Festival date is June 4th, 10 am-4 pm. The entire day is focused around the garden. Exhibitor made craft booths and authentic antique booths will be in and around the 1868 Keeping Room. (No flea market items allowed) There is no charge to attend or exhibit. See "Exhibiting at Stream Cliff" for more information. Free presentations will be held under the canopy area. At 10:30 Betty Manning will give a food demonstration with recipes and sampling of herb dips and summer wine punches. She will also talk on "Butterflies & Hummingbirds in Your Garden." At 12:30 a hat contest will be held. The categories will be: most beautiful, most original and best Red Hat. Wear one of these winners and receive a prize! At 1:30 Greg Manning, Stream Cliff's horticulturist, will give a lecture on "Constant bloom for Summer Color." Delicious food will be available at the Twigs & Sprigs Tearoom. Box lunches will be available also for those wishing to dine in the garden or lecture area. If you are bringing a large group (over 8) for lunch, please call for reservations. Garden Festival Day is a wonderful time to celebrate gardening and to share a lovely day in the country at our Farm. |
